Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (Road Show)

I had the pleasure to be one of the few thousands that throng to Mid Valley today to view the project being unveiled to the public in the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre. Curious Malaysians; both young and old, angry residents and some greeted with support of this project were present.

This project is named "Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit Project’s Sungai Buloh-Kajang line". The RM36bil project stretches 51km from Sungai Buloh cutting through major townships skirting into Damansara, the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Cheras and lastly ending in Kajang.

Construction work is expected to begin in July 2011 and will take about five or six years to complete, Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak said middle of December 2010 when his cabinet approved the first MRT line.

[more to come when more news being announced in the near future . . .]
