"CONTEST" (A MUST READ, SERIOUSLY)

It was my usual daily routine but today after my last day of my degree classes (Yes! I have no more classes after 4 years of study already), I fetched two of my classmates to the Kelana Jaya Putra LRT. I was supposed to pick up my new spectacles in Ikano but my mum was a bit busy to follow me there.

I was about to head home but I realized that my petrol indicator in my car blinks and the fuel is almost empty. I fetched my car to the Shell Petrol Station (formerly ProJet Damansara) in Taman Sea. I was well-dressed and didn't want to touch the petrol pump. I asked the lady to pump for me.

As usual, they hired "not-so-understandable" lady who only nods whenever I asked her for help to pump the petrol. At the end, I decided to pump on my own since she don't understand Bahasa Malaysia but understands Bahasa Indonesia.

Anyway, after I finished pumping the petrol into my car, she asked me if I wanted to join "KOTEK". I was extremely stunned when she asked me that. What she really meant was to join "CONTEST".

I came back home and relate this whole incident to my family and they laughed till they got stomach-pain. OMG...what a hilarious day for me.

THE GARDENS, MID VALLEY CITY, KL - 26th September 2007

THE GARDENS, MID VALLEY CITY, KUALA LUMPUR

Making my trip to Mid Valley City on a mission to visit the latest shopping mall in Malaysia, The Gardens at Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur this morning. With me was Christopher.

The much anticipated and long-awaited shopping mall, The Gardens, Mid Valley City opened its doors to the public on 26th September 2007, slightly less than a week after the latest shopping mall of the year, Pavilion KL was officially opened on 20th September 2007. It was indeed the "Battle of the Shopping Malls" here in the Klang Valley this month when 2 out of 3 shopping malls have been opened - Pavilion KL, The Gardens Mid Valley and Sunway Pyramid 2.

The Gardens Mid Valley housed many World Class Brands such as ISETAN, ROBINSONS, GSC SIGNATURE, DKNY, GAP and many more others.

The Robinsons, occupying 3 floors of sheer retail pleasure, offers shoppers a world class shopping experience in a world class store. This is the first opening of its store outside Singapore.

Robinsons aims to differentiate itself from other retailers by providing a strong retail selection and excellent customer service to ensure that customer's retail experience is one that keeps them coming back for more. This is the very reason Robinsons remains committed to the simple idea on which the company was founded on - through quality, value and service.

Yes, that is a plate of Strawberry Kisses (Rockin' Yoghurts). The Training Manager of Baskin Robbins (BR) Ms. Denise specially prepared this plate of yoghurt whereby you can actually custom-made your own yoghurt ice-cream. The first of its kind in BR Malaysia, it was imported in from Baskin Robbins in Korea. The Rockin' Yoghurts was prepared on a cold stone plate.

The Cold Plate - Fried Yoghurt

Ice-Cream Fondue in Cafe Baskin Robbins

COOLER - Motchas Mojito (Green Tea + mint syrup) & Oasis (watermelon + rainbow sherbet)

SHOULD PARENTS READ OUR BLOGS ???

Dear all,

Knowing that blog is one of the most alternative media these days, it has played a very important role in our lives. It has recently boggles my mind when a few of my friends told me that their parents have been reading their blogs?

Some coming back to me with a positive response and vice versa. It is always good to know that our parents are concern about what their children are up to these days but however, some prefers some privacy from their parents.

We can't deny the fact that blogs are being read by many people from the public. As for me, I do not have to worry as I showed my parents what I posted once in a while. They are always eager to know what I have up in my blog. I must say that they are simply amazing people and being very supportive to me.

Well, I would like to hear what the rest of you thinks of it? Kindly provide me feedbacks in my comment box. It would be great too as I can come up with a research. Your comments are going to be my primary source of data for my research too.

PAVILION KUALA LUMPUR - 20th September 2007

Bringing to you my exclusive Opening Ceremony of Pavilion KL. I was there at around 9.30 a.m., about 30 minutes before the Opening Ceremony and the ribbon cutting was held. It was extremely packed when I went there. Men in suits and women in their beautiful clothings were all standing patiently and networking waiting for the ceremony to begin.

PROJECT PHUNK : PHUNKtion OFFICIAL LAUNCH

Phunk is pronounced as "Funk" not "Punk" or any other funny words.

The initials "PHUNK" stands for "Providing Hospis Understanding N Kare". We are organizing a project to raise funds for Hospis Malaysia, a non-governmental organization which provides palliative care services. We also hope to raise awareness of palliative care amongst the society.

This project is done by the Semester 4 students of Diploma in Communication, Taylor's College Petaling Jaya.

It was the Official Launch of the Project Phunk this afternoon and I was honoured to represent the entire students population of the Taylor's University College as the Student Ambassador during this event.

Why would I be honoured to shake hands with Deborah Henry (Miss Malaysia/World 2007), Belinda Chee (8TV Quickie Host), Christien New & Lavin Seow (both TV host, I know Christien or Lavin will visit my blog). I was sitting right in the circle of couches in the VIP Waiting Room while waiting for a charitable project to be launched.

Alvin (the Logistics Manager) and me in the VIP Holding Room

See, I wasn't bullshitting - Thomas (Project Manager, Project PHUNK), Christien New & myself

Hospis Malaysia is the largest hospice in Malaysia. In 1992, the accepted 44 patients and in 2006 they had a total of 1183 referrals. Most suffer from lung cancer (237 patients), followed by breast cancer (164 patients) and liver cancer (112 patients). Basically they have a total of 944 cancer patients.

The Official Launching of PHUNKtion - 19th September 2007

Everyone deserves a great life on this earth. Why not come and support the "One Night with Phunk" on 25th September 2007 (Tuesday) at the Laundry Bar, The Curve in Mutiara Damansara from 7.30 p.m. - 10.00 p.m. A healthy way of supporting this charitable project.

"One Night with PHUNK" - 25th September 2007

Christien New and Lavin Seow (both TV host) will be there to support this event. On top of that, watch out for Tempered Mental, Bobo (from Cosmic Space Munkys), Joshua & Slunk and guest DJ BadBoyBen. But I am sure that's not the reason why you should come and support this event even though they weren't there, right? Come and support Project PHUNK at their climax of the project.

I don't earn a single penny from promoting this event but I can assure you my words. Come on down and lets party together. When you see me there, do drop by and say "Hello" to me.
