Are you lonely ???
Refering to Stephen's blog post on "Saturday at Starbucks, MidValley", he talks about being lonely.
Speaking of being lonely, I always felt embarassed of being alone. Going shopping alone, eating alone in the midst of a busy restaurant / hawker / mamak, going for a movie alone, walking alone, driving around alone and etc.
Yes, eating alone has been a very sad thing for me most of the time as I always eat alone in college. My classmates from my college usually goes out to eat in groups but not for me. I don't tag along with them well for some reasons which I am not enclosing it. I have the tendency to pretend that I don't see them or I pretend to make myself busy so that they would think I don't exist in the same restaurant.
I have always thought that sitting by yourself alone seems to be embarassing. I ASSUMED A LOT. Well, it came to my realization that those ASSUMPTIONS were absolutely wrong. Why care what others see or think of you being alone?
Now, I do sip my Starbucks alone, starring at pretty girls walking down the street of Bukit Bintang or in the Curve, enjoying the music and the food in McD's, watching my favourite movie in GSC alone and many others.
WHO SAYS I NEED A FRIEND TO EAT WITH ME OR TO WATCH A MOVIE WITH ME OR TO GO SHOPPING WITH ME?
Lonely is something great guys. Perhaps, give it a try yourself. Don't care what the person next to you thinks about you. Sometimes I can have more privacy for myself and do more things on my own.

when you're a christian, it is totally wrong to say that you're alone. Jesus made a promise that He'll always be with you. So no matter where you go, you're never alone.
yo william!!! dint thought that my "be alone" feeling will give u this post. hehe..
however, that is real life! :D we dont expect someone will be ur side for every single moment! not even our parents! not even our gf/bf!
being alone != sad (!= in programming world means NOT EQUAL). i enjoy the "be alone" feeling sometimes, coz it give my life another perspective. at that moment u will notice that actually we missed out a lot of others when we have companion, our focus only to the person who give company.
yesterday i really discovered a lot of others when i am alone in the starbucks. face expression, conversation topic, body languages, funny movement, etc etc etc. great moment i would said.
share me more about ur life feeling next time man! :)
jerine: I'm sure you know what William meant when he meant alone.
William: It's good to see someone writing about his own feelings about loneliness. I celebrated my birthday alone yesterday. It wasn't that bad really. Sometimes, we just need to break away from the group. Like yourself, I could relate to you in this post ;) Thanks for visiting, again.
