Idol’s debut album out before Hari Raya
MALAYSIAN IDOL 2 : DANIEL LEE CHEE HUNKUALA LUMPUR: Fans of new Malaysian Idol Daniel Lee, 23, can look forward to his debut album under recording label Sony BMG by the end of next month.
The pop album will feature 10 songs in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and English.
“We’re planning to release the album before Hari Raya so that his fans can enjoy listening to it as the festival approaches,” said Sony BMG managing director Adrian Lim at a media gathering here on Wednesday.
Lim said Mimpi (in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin) written by Innuendo’s Pot Amir, and Rick Price’s Heaven Knows would be among the songs in the album.
“Heaven Knows is his lucky song and it will be essential to have it in his debut album. As for Mimpi, Daniel will be recording in dual languages to cater to a larger audience.”
Lim said Sony BMG is finalising the details.
However, Daniel, a music undergraduate from Universiti Sains Malaysia, will not be playing any instrument in his debut album, and neither will he be composing any song.
