The Amazing Race is Back: Family Edition

It wasn't as easy as you might have thought. The Amazing Race 8 or better known as the Amazing Race: Family Edition kicked off with a premiere Worldwide on 27th September 2005 & 28th September 2005 (depending on the country you are living in).

Hosted by Jeff Probst, the million dollar Race around the world will begin with a brand new season filled with adrenaline-pumping action!.

For the first time, this Emmy Award-winning reality adventure series will pit 10 teams of families against one another in a race around the world for a $1 million prize. At every destination, each team will have to compete in a series of challenges -- some mental and some physical -- and only when the tasks have been completed will they learn their next destination. Teams who are farthest behind will gradually be eliminated as the contest progresses, with the first team to arrive at the final destination winning $1 million.

Familes taking part in this globetrooting adventure include a father and sons-in-law team, a family coming to terms with losing a husband and a father to a highway accident, a close-knit sibling team of 3 brothers and a fiesty sister, a bickering New York family amongst others!

With teams of four instead of two, comprising of family members, will it be double the bitching and fighting amongst the team-members and other teams in The Amazing Race: Family Edition?
